In 2009, seafood export of the country was 1.216 million tons, valued at $4.25 million, going down by 1.6% in volume and 5.7% in value comparing to that of 2008. However, this is also considered as a nice signal while difficulties in technology, tarriff, consuming markest and material source occur. Also in 2009, Vietnam exported 85 kinds of seafood products into 163 markets. In which, frozen shrimp is the product taking into account the highest percent (39.4%), Pangasius (31.6%), squid and octopus (6.45%), etc.
